Tour Service & Activities

You can hire me for half-day tours or full-day tours. (See estimates of tour prices in the next section.)
My home base is in Ubud, about an hour north of Denpasar. I can also pick up my customers from other areas, such as Sanur, Denpasar, Jimbaran-Nusa Dua, and Kuta-Semiyak-Legian, for day tours.
I will be happy to help you customize tour programs that best match your interests and needs. Some examples of day tours from Ubud are:

KINTAMANI VOLCANO TOUR
Departure time: 8.45-9.00 am (Full day)
The first stop of the day will be at Batubulan village to see Barong and Keris dance performance (ticket excluded). After the dance performance, we will continue the journey to Tohpati village where we will watch special textile weaving process at the batik and ikat center. Our next stop is at Celuk village to see gold and silver smith workshops, and then followed by a visit to the Batuan Temple (Pura Desa) with amazingly beautiful Balinese temple architecture. We make a short stop at wood carving village of Mas, then continue our journey to Kintamani, the highlight of the trip, where we will have lunch. At our lunch stop we will admire the beautiful scenery of Mount Batur, Bali’s second highest volcano. After lunch we will visit a coffee and spice plantation — here you can see a special coffee made we called luwak coffee, and we return back to your hotel.

BEDUGUL TOUR
Departure time: 9.00-9.30 am (Full day)
Our first stop in our adventure is the Taman Ayun temple, or the Royal Family Temple, at Megwi village, with beautiful and serene gardens. This temple is surrounded by a moat. On our way to Bedugul, we will pass beautiful rice terraces at Pacung, as we continue to Ulun Danu Beratan Temple (or the Temple of the Lake Goddess) – this beautiful temple appears to be afloat on the crater lake. We will make a short stop at the Bedugul market to stretch our legs. We will lunch at Labhaga Restaurant which has astounding views over some of Bali’s volcanoes. En route to Tanah Lot Temple (Temple on the Sea), which is our last destination of the day, we will stop at Alas Kedaton (monkey forest). We return to your hotel after Tanah Lot Temple.

LOVINA TOUR
Departure time: 9:30 – 10:00 am (Full day)
On the way to north coast of Bali , we will stop first at Ulun Danu Beratan – a beautiful temple that appears to be floating on a lake. As we continue our journey we will wind our way up the mountain pass where jungle monkeys are playing on the street. Further north we will stop at the GitGit waterfall, the biggest and highest waterfall in Bali, Lovina has black sandy beaches and numerous fishing boats. Lovina is to see dolphins in the sea. After Lovina, we will stop at Banjar hotspirngs where you can take a swim and relax. On our return journey to Ubud, we will take the road that passes by Munduk village that is famous for cloves and other spices.

UBUD AND TEMPLE TOUR
Departure time: 8.45-9.00 am (Full day)
Our first stop of the day is at Batubulan village to see the Barong and Keris dance performance, and later followed by a visit to a batik and ikat center, a short stop at Celuk for gold and silver smithing workshops, and to Mas and Kemenuh villages for wood carving. We will also visit Batuan village that is famous for its art painting in Bali. After lunch we continue the journey to Goa Gajah Temple (or Elephant Cave Temple) and Tirta Empul Temple (or The Temple of the Holy Springs) in Tampaksiring village. Tirta Empul dates back to the 10th century. We return to your hotel in Ubud via Tengallalang where there are many beautiful and spectacular rice terraces.

BESAKIH TEMPLE (BALI’S MOTHER TEMPLE) TOUR
Departure time:09.00-09.30 am (Full day)
We start the tour with a visit to the batik and ikat center in Tohpati, where you can see the process of ikat textile weaving. We then continue tour adventure to Klungkung town to see the ancient court of justice. This beautiful curt has a open floating pavilion with typical Klungkung architecture that has beautifully painted and decorated ceilings. Proceeding along to Bali’s mother temple of Besakih, we will pass the rice terraces of Bukit Jambul. The Besakih Temple is a huge temple complex located on the slopes of the holy Mount Agung, Bali’s highest mountain, Besakih Tempel is the most important temple complex for Balinese Hinduism, and so you will see many Balinese worshipping here. After our visit to Besakih, we drive back to Ubud via countryside back roads , and stop at Tegenungan waterfall before ending our tour back at your hotel.

EAST BALI TOUR
Departure time: 9.00-9.30 am (Full day) (Full Day)
We start the tour with a visit to Kertha Gosa, which is a palace of justice, and then drive along the eastern coastline to the Goa Lawah Temple (or Bat cave temple). Inside this temple one can see thousands of bats hanging upside down from the temple’s ceiling or the roof of the cave. Next we will visit an ancient and traditional Bali Aga village at Tenganan. We will lunch in Candi Dasa. After lunch, we will visit a seasalt-making operation in Kusamba. Kusumba’s seasalt is is not only reputed to be the best sea salt in Bali, but also much sought after worldwide. On our drive back to the hotel, we will stop at a batik and ikat textile weaving center at Tohpati.

SOUTH BALI TOUR
Departure time:09.45-10.00 am (Full day)
We will first visit the white sandy beaches of Tanjung Benoa to pursue sea sport activities and then we proceed to Kuta beach to explore kuta (shopping and lunch). We continue to Ulu Watu Temple – a holy cliff temple habited by monkeys. From this temple high on top of the limestone cliff, we have a beautiful panoramic view over the sea. If you wish, you can watch the mesmerizing kecak dance or fire dance performed at the temple grounds at sunset. We end the day with a wonderful tasty barbequed seafood dinner on the sandy beaches of Jimbaran. Drop off at your hotel.

MOUNT BATUR TREKKING
Departure time :03.00 am (Full day)
Your adventure starts very early in the morning at 3:00 am with our pickup at your hotel. We start your trek at 1200 meters above sea level and therefore you will experience a milder temperature at this elevation. We begin our trekking up to the top of the mountain to see sunrise and a magnificent view of the crater lake and red sky. In the morning light we will walk around the rim of the volcanic cone to see the crater. This trek takes about 3-4 hours up and down. On the way back down you will walk through to the black lava that originally flowed down during the first and second eruptions. Batur volcano is still active, with eruptions in 1926,1963, 1974 and 1994. Before going back to the hotel, we will stop at the hot spring for a swim.

TANAH LOT SUNSET TOUR
Departure time:03.00-03.30 pm (Half day)
We will first visit the Taman Ayun Temple or Royal family temple, which is surrounded by a wide moat and a beautiful serene garden. This temple was one of most important temples of the Mengwi kingdom and it is still quite spectacular with numerous multi-tiered shrines (called meru). We continue our journey to the Tanah Lot (or Temple by the Sea) to enjoy the wonderful sunset before returning to your hotel.

ULUWATU SUNSET TOUR
Departure time: 03.00-03.30 pm (Half day)

ANCIENT TEMPLES TOUR
Departure time: 10.00 am (Half day)
Our tour begins with a visit to a historic meditation temple called Goa Gajah Temple (or Elephant Cave Temple), followed by a visit to a magnificent ancient temple in Tamapkisiring called the Gunung Kawi Temple complex. At this temple complex, nine immense monuments are craved into the rock wall in a hill. These monuments are memorial shrines associated with the legendary 11th-century King Anak Wungsu and his wives. Our next stop is at Pura Tirta Empul is commonly known as the Temple of the Holy Springs, which dates back to the 10th century. People come from all over the island for holy water and ritual ablutions. Tirta Empul was created by the god Indra (King of Heaven). Our last activity is lunch at Kampung CafĂ© – a wonderful restaurant that serves very tasty Balinese and Indonesian food. This restaurant is located in Tengallalang, where there are many beautiful and spectacular rice terraces. Drop off at your hotel.
